Ellie Hoban
Ellie is a Program Coordinator supporting the US Charters and Washington State Initiative strategies. As someone who was born and raised in Washington State, Ellie is grateful for the opportunity to support students in Washington achieve their fullest potential.
In her role, she manages investment workflows and coordinates cross-portfolio processes that support strategic priorities. Ellie has worked in tech throughout her career and follows her deep passions for education and social impact work to navigate her career journey.
Prior to joining the foundation, Ellie worked at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in education technology product development, building tools that integrate learning science and research into products that help teachers best support their students. She also previously worked at Facebook in education partnerships, scaling a digital marketing certification program to higher education institutions, and began her career in software consulting at Deloitte.
Ellie holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s in education technology from Harvard.
Fun Facts:
- Outside of work, Ellie enjoys running with friends and has run over ten marathons to date.
- She will do just about anything for a good chocolate chip cookie.
