Charlotte Gavell
Program Coordinator
Charlotte Gavell (she/her) is a Program Coordinator on the Washington State team at the Gates Foundation. She has lived in the Seattle area for almost 10 years and has been working at the foundation for nearly two. Her professional background is in nonprofit program management, and Charlotte is passionate about developing and implementing innovative strategies to advance economic opportunity in her community.
Charlotte has her bachelor's degree in anthropology/sociology, with minors in Spanish and gender studies, from Saint Michael's College in Vermont, and her certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Washington Evans School for Public Policy and Governance.
Fun facts:
- Charlotte enjoys any outdoor activity that she can do with her two rescue dogs, Peaches and Fiona.
- Charlotte grew up going to a Montessori school where her mother was a teacher, where she believes her interest in travel and learning about culture and racial equity developed.
