Munira Sheriff
Munira Sheriff is a senior program officer on the Washington State team at the Gates Foundation. In her role, she uses data and evidence to support the team’s work in advancing educational equity. Munira has more than 15 years of experience with program design, research, and evaluation and these experiences span multiple sectors and several continents.
Before joining the foundation in 2022, Munira worked at statewide organizations in Washington in the K-12, college access, and college success space. Before moving to Washington, Munira worked in international development with the Aga Khan Development Network and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Munira holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Northwestern University and a master’s in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
